Origami mask DIY with a paper towel, napkin, or cotton fabric
Origami is an ancient Japanese paper folding technique. Just like folding a crane or a paper box, we can fold a simple disposable mask out of a piece of paper towel or napkin. We are showing 2 versions here. The first one is made with a paper towel (disposable) and the second is made of the traditional cotton fabric and is machine washable and reusable.

Both paper towel and cotton version have the same paper folding technique. Paper napkin will work in the same way.
The traditional elastic band can be cut into the right size for a better fit. If not available, a pair of rubber band or hair tie will work. Test to make sure they are long enough.

The cotton version is similar to the paper towel version. But we add seam allowance before cutting because we sew up the front and back pieces together first. The folding steps are the same.
